Hey everybody! It's Wednesday, and Salmon Chase was unable to do the Hoddle this morning. It happens, we still like him, life goes on. However since all of you need an outlet to talk about... whatever it is you plan to talk about, here's a Community Hoddle of Coffee to get you going on this fine day.
Borrowing a theme from CFC writer Ed F., it's time to enlighten the masses with some new music that most of you probably haven't heard of. I'm hardly a jazz aficionado but I know what I like... and I like Bill Evans. His small combo piano jazz is some of the best I've ever heard in the genre. "Nardis" is a weird little modal tune that, if you're like me, grabs you from the opening chords and hooks you right right away. It's a tune that's not quite like anything else I've ever heard, and it's certainly worth a listen.
Feel free to post your Spurs links and news items in the comments, and enjoy the jazz.
