Writers Prediction League: Tottenham Hotspur at Hull City

Falling apart. Tottenham entered their last match hosting a poor Stoke City side, sure to keep their winning streak going after a comeback defeat of Aston Villa the week before. But Spurs capitulated, looking poor in a 2-1 loss to the Potters. The team has been weakened by its defense, as the team conceded two early goals and Kyle Naughton had a red card in the midst of a Spurs comeback. Can Tottenham bounce back on the road?

In the way today is Hull City, sitting 15th in the table, just 3 points behind Spurs. The Tigers have been boosted by a bevy of former Spurs talent, as Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone, and Jake Livermore are all likely to face off against their former club. The team boasts dynamic scoring threats, as Nikica Jelavic, Mohamed Diame, and Abel Hernandez have scored more than 3 goals a piece. However, Hull's three man defense has been capitalized on, as James Chester, Paul McShane, and Curtis Davies look to keep Tottenham off the score sheet. Can Hull post a crucial home win against a tough foe?

As for the Prediction League, Ashlock dropped a perfect prediction regarding the Stoke City match.  The rules remain the same in the Prediction League -- one point for a correct prediction and a bonus point for getting the score correct. Here are the current standings:

This week's predictions:

Dustin Gerber Martin: The malaise has to end sometime, right? 2-0 Spurs.

Kevin: Hull City sucks, 3-0 Spurs

Mechanick: Are you confident with this Spurs team going on the road? I'm not. 1-1 Draw

Ryan: Forget a Pitch Perfect quote. Watch the Pitch Perfect 2 trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBwOYQd21TY

Oh, and 2-1 Spurs.

Bryan A.: None of you are considering the #narrative. What's the worst thing that could happen? The answer is losing to Hull. 1-0 Hull.

Ed: TBD

Salmon Chase: 3-1 Spurs. I base this on two things, Statsby's prediction, and having seen our shit defense play.

Ben Daniels: I vaguely recall something has been up with our form this season, but the international break has numbed my powers of recollection. Spurs are awesome and Hull suck, right? Spurs 2 Spurs Jr. 1

Dominic Wood: TBD

Michael Caley: 4-0 Spurs. This is happening. Also, Hull is terrible.

Skipjack: 2-2 Draw. Have you people learned nothing?

Brett Rainbow: Tottenham Hotspur 2 Hull Tigers 0.
