Roberto Soldado has had a rough time in the Premier League, but you could see signs that he was on the cusp of something fantastic. He had a great match against Partizan with numerous chances but he just couldn't get it into the back of the net. Pochettino saw something in him, though, and started him with Harry Kane again.
AND WHAT DID SOLDADO DO? HE FRICKIN' SCORED AT THE END OF THE FIRST HALF AGAINST EVERTON. SUCK IT, HATERS.
What a goal. What a way to break the duck. You can see the relief etched in Soldado's face, and what a reaction from the White Hart Lane crowd. Roberto Soldado is awesome. His teammates are awesome. Spurs fans are awesome. White Hart Lane is awesome. Everything is new and exciting and awesome and OMG I'm totally crying now!
Think his teammates weren't happy and relieved for him? Check out Nabil Bentaleb's reaction.
And Mauricio Pochettino? He seemed pretty excited too.
Even Mauricio Pochettino was loving Soldado's goal against Everton. #THFC pic.twitter.com/U8osmur1fS
