Christian. Eriksen.
You may have noticed that Tottenham Hotspur's No. 23 is rather good at football. He also has this habit of scoring late goals that win matches for Spurs. Well he did it again.
The Dane scored in the 89th minute to deliver Tottenham a 2-1 win over Swansea in Wales. It wasn't the prettiest match for Spurs and they may be a bit fortunate to take all three points, but Eriksen and Harry Kane's goals were enough to send them back to North London as winners.
Kane put Spurs in front after just three minutes when he got on the end of an Eriksen corner kick and nodded it home. It wasn't spectacular. It was just clinical and exactly what you want from your star striker.
After scoring, Spurs began to stumble and by the 30th minute, it was all Swansea. Eventually Wilfried Bony scored and it was more than deserved. The Swans could have scored three or four, but some shoddy finishing, some blocks and a strong Hugo Lloris kept them out.
Finally, Spurs found their footing very late and put some pressure on the home side. Then, after Davies intercepted a clearance, he fed Eriksen at the top of the box. The Dane pushed it onto his right foot then fired a great shot low and just inside the post for the winner.
Notes

- Kane is becoming a bit wasteful and taking some shots when he should pass. He could definitely be better, but he's still been good and it's encouraging to see him keeping his confidence and going for his chances. All in all, still a plus, and then there was that goal.

- Ben Davies is playing excellently. This is the players Spurs thought they were getting when they bought him in the summer. He was tidy defensively, made a phenomenal tackle to deny a sure-fire goal and was able to get the interception and pass on Eriksen's winner.

- Spurs still have a huge problem in defense. Jan Vertonghen played terribly and Federico Fazio was a disaster again. Tottenham can normally count on better for Vertonghen, but they don't have anyone to partner him with. Giving Eric Dier a chance in the center might not be the worst idea.
- I LOVE YOU CHRISTIAN.
