After being granted indefinite compassionate leave by the club, Emmanuel Adebayor has returned to training at Tottenham Hotspur.

Adebayor has only missed two games as a result of this leave, but he hasn't played for Spurs since the start of November and missed at least the last week of training. So it will probably be a bit before we see him getting minutes. However, we're about to hit the Christmas period, so with the upcoming fixture list, it is almost certain he will get minutes.

Since Adebayor's been gone, Pochettino has settled into a two striker set with Kane and Soldado and given how we have managed our rotation, it seems like Kane is first choice now. Still, that doesn't mean Adebayor doesn't have a role to play. We saw how tired our 2 remaining strikers looked earlier this month after three games in one week. That is a problem that isn't going to go away over the Christmas break. I think Kane or Kane/Soldado remains our first and most effective choice now, but once Adebayor is fit, I think we can expect to see him both playing up top by himself and probably playing alongside Kane as Pochettino rotates the side.
