Tim Sherwood brought everyone some excellent news ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's UEFA Europa League match with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, revealing that Sandro would be in the matchday squad. The Brazilian midfielder has suffered a couple of setbacks since returning from an ACL injury early in the fall, and hopefully he can remain fit for the rest of the season.
As for less than good news, Etienne Capoue and Danny Rose got hurt this weekend. Kyle Walker, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Younes Kaboul, Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches remain out. Here's what Sherwood had to say to the club website.
"Kyle [Walker] and Gylfi aren't fit for this one, but they are on their way back. It won't be long before they are fit ... Younes has a calf strain. We're hopeful that he might be back in contention for the weekend (Cardiff on Sunday), but tomorrow is too soon for him."
It's good to know that Kaboul's setback was a very minor one, not one that will keep him out for multiple weeks. Hopefully he's not broken for good. And, uh, Kyle Naughton has been not great lately, so get well soon Kyle 1.
