Your new starting central defense pair: Milos Veljkovic and Zeki Fryers!

We don't have any real senior central defenders. UNLEASH THE VELJKOVIC.

As you know, Michael Dawson and Vlad Chiriches are currently injured. As you may have known, Jan Vertonghen is suspended for Thursday's game against Benfica. Even more news has come out that Younes Kaboul is probably unavailable for Thursday's game, leaving Tottenham Hotspur without a recognized senior central defender.

It's possible that Etienne Capoue could start at the back, but he's been injured as well. So, we're probably looking at a starting central defense pairing of Zeki Fryers and Milos Veljkovic. Zeki has played more left back than center back in his career and Milos was recently in the process of converting to defensive midfield.

Since we've established that the rest of the season is mostly meaningless, I'm not too bothered by this. In fact, I'm looking forward to see what Veljkovic and Fryers can do in a tough situation, away to Benfica. Maybe they'll record a clean sheet and we can overhype them to the alarming degree that we overhype Tom Carroll.
