Tim Sherwood has confirmed that Kyle Walker will miss out on this weekend's match against Liverpool, joining some other long-term absentees on the sidelines. Vlad Chiriches, Etienne Capoue and Erik Lamela are also out, though Chiriches is going to play in Friday's Under-21 match against Arsenal, so he should return to the team shortly if his return goes smoothly.
Emmanuel Adebayor is a doubt due to a gash on his heel, but Adebayor is confident that he'll be able to play. With Michael Dawson returning to the bench last week, that's all for Spurs' injury troubles, which aren't too bad at this point in the season.
Here's what Sherwood had to say.
"[Adebayor is] confident that he'll be ok. He knows his body better than we do so let's hope he's right with that prediction. With the long-term ones,, Chiriches will play for the Under-21s this evening, he's on his way back. Lamela and Capoue are still a way off. Kyle Walker won't be fit. He's not a long way off, he's making progress but I'm not sure, we can't put a time on it yet. We're just playing it by ear and seeing when he feels a bit better."
Oh, he also dropped this gem.
#thfc Quote that Spurs fans WON'T like: "To be honest, I've not watched them [Liverpool] that closely."

So I'm feeling confident about the game.
