I like Nacer Chadli a lot, but I certainly do not like him as a central midfielder in a two-man center. Thankfully, he can go back to where he belongs -- as a winger or an attacking midfielder -- come the weekend. Nabil Bentaleb and Mousa Dembele, who have been battling nagging injuries, are in the Under-21 squad and should play Monday.
Tottenham Hotspur hosts Manchester United's Under-21s at White Hart Lane in that game, which you should go to if you're not busy and in the area. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. local time and tickets are cheap as always.
Dembele and Bentaleb will be the only big names in the team, as most of the other younger Spurs are either in the first team right now or out on loan. Harry Kane is obviously not in the squad since he started over the weekend, but Harry Winks and Milos Veljkovic haven't been named in the squad either.
Hopefully this rehab start goes well for both players and we can see them in the 18-man squad this weekend, if not starting. Even though the rest of our season doesn't really matter, I'd still like to see actual midfielders on the pitch if at all possible.
