Swindon Town are just four points out of a playoff spot and could still technically make the League One promotion playoffs, but Alex Pritchard won't be playing for them if they do. He also can't play the final game of the season for the club, and will return to Tottenham Hotspur after this weekend's game away to Notts County.
Pritchard was on a 'youth loan' to Swindon and will no longer fit the criteria for that after his 21st birthday. That just happens to be on May 3, the final game of Swindon's season, assuming they can't make up the four-point gap to sixth place.
Expect Pritchard to be back at Spurs for the final two games of their season, and since his parent club have nothing to play for, it wouldn't be too shocking to see him make the bench. Pritchard has, by all accounts, been one of the two or three best players in League One this season and has those who have gotten a chance to watch him raving. Tim Sherwood certainly seemed to rate him when he was the U-21 boss, so I wouldn't put it past him to give Pritch an opportunity.
