Spurs reportedly chase AC Milan defender ... and their former manager

New, comments

Watch your bum, Kyle Walker.

Welcome to Dispatches From #Batcountry, where we have fun with the more ridiculous transfer rumors we run into.

Remember when former AC Milan manager Max Allegri was rumored to be the preferred choice to take over at Tottenham Hotspur? That was the worst. And ... oh god, it's not going away. TuttoMercatoWeb is making reference to it, and they think he might be taking one of his old friends with him.

According to everyone's new favorite Italian rumor mongering website (since Gianluca Di Marzio has a bit of credibility these days and no one thinks Tancredi Palmeiri is funny anymore), Milan and Italy right back Ignazio Abate will shoot to the top of the shopping list of Allegri and Franco Baldini if the former Rossoneri manager takes the same post at White Hart Lane.

Kyle Walker has improved leaps and bounds over the last two seasons to become one of Spurs' best players and one of the first names on the team sheet, but let's throw that away. What we need is a guy who isn't always first choice for a middle of the road Serie A team. We're coming for you, Arsenal!

If we hire Max Allegri and he signs average Milan players, I will be irate.
