Four Tottenham players start in Algeria-Belgum match

ALL THE HOTSPURS!

Bryn Lennon

The lineups for today's Belgium v. Algeria World Cup match are out, and Tottenham Hotspur players are well represented for both teams:

Look at that!  Belgium starts three Spurs players in Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, and Nacer Chadli, while our nascent Luka Modric replacement Nabil Bentaleb continues his meteoric rise and gets the start in center midfield for Algeria.

The biggest surprise here is Nacer Chadli getting the start, as Belgium normally starts a midfield three of Kevin Mirallas, Eden Hazard, and Kevin de Bruyne. Our esteemed writing staff have also intimated that both Adnan Januzaj and Dries Mertens are better players than Chadli at his position, so this is a surprise. Presumably Chadli has either shown something to Marc Wilmots in training, or this is a tactical decision.

Either way, yay Nacer! Yay ALL THE TOTTENHAMS! Let's hope they all have a great match.
