Good news, everyone! Algeria released its final World Cup team list, and Nabil Bentaleb has made the cut! Spurs' 19-year old central midfielder is officially on the plane to Brazil.
We posted previously about Nabil after he made the provisional 30-man roster, but it's worth celebrating again. Based on Algeria's warm-up games, Nabil will also likely get some minutes in World Cup matches, and might even start as Algeria's midfielders aren't really all that good apart from Sophiane Feghouli. It's looking likely that Nabil will at minimum get some playing experience. Not bad for a guy who was playing in Spurs' development squad at the beginning of the season!
Bentaleb joins Hugo Lloris, Paulinho, Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Dembele, Nacer Chadli, and oh yeah! Benoit Assou-Ekotto (who else forgot about Benny? LOL) as Spurs players who will be playing in the World Cup.
Congratulations to Nabil!
