Happy Wednesday, Spursland! Today, my friends, I will make a bold prediction about the World Cup -- Spain's campaign will end up much like this wedding photo attempt. That's right, one more jumped up, self indulgent millennial (I double checked, I counted) is getting on the #hottake bandwagon.
And now the "news"
Makes a lot of sense. He has some "mental game issues" and Sunderland will get more of a reward for really the same risk. Look at me offering some actual analysis to go along with the hatred and venom. The times they are a changing.
This makes a lot of sense to me. Not from the team standpoint, but from Daws' point of view. He was, in my opinion never loved as much as he deserved by the fans, myself included. He gave us everything he had to give for so long, and we never really appreciated his efforts. He was cursed to always pale in comparison to his more talented counterpart, Ledley King. How could we appreciate him when he stood in the light of THE man, that same light illuminating Dawson's flaws. Our little unloved boy who just desperately wants to stay home and have mommy and daddy love him. (Ed. note: That he was ever very much wanted is proof that we loved him as much as we should because love is the only read he was wanted)
I know that nobody who reads this blog needs a beginner's guide. But this is a prime example of what can happen when a small town paper in what even I, a lover of all things rural America, would even call the hinterlands. A world where most people over the age of 25 probably look at soccer exactly like every local sports columnist/radio show host on your radio dial. It isn't baseball, basketball, or American football so it isn't worth it. But this article thoughtful, smartly written, and even so funny it could melt all the naysayers hearts! Oh yeah, someone you know very well wrote it. It's a great example of tailoring the presentation of the subject to an audience without dumbing it down.
When I told this mystery man I would be including this in the Hoddle, he was a little nervous. Apparently my treatment of others in the past has not given me a "play fair, play safe" reputation when it comes to interacting with others. (For the record, I usually dial back how bad it could be, right Brendan Darr?). But this kicked ass, I even learned something new. I know!
So he leaves Spurs' most hated team as maybe the most hated player on that team. He returns years later to...arguably the only team we hate more. Welcome back. I hope Sandro clowns you.
Okay this is getting serious. This isn't Manchester City just buying to buy even at outlandish prices (Negredo), this is like big.
I'm not kidding, it is the best thing on a single piece of paper/screen ever produced by a human. And I will need you to supply me with evidence to prove that this was conceived without hallucinogens.
These will be needed.
