The inspiration Spurs need to succeed

Poetry is fun you guys shut up.

Paul Gilham

Today twitter reminded us of one of Liverpool's most significant accomplishments last year. No, not Suarez scoring a bajillion goals. No, not nearly winning the title for the first time in over 20 years. No, not even Steven Gerrard slipping and falling and single-handedly ruining his one chance of ever fulfilling his dreams.

No dear reader, it was one bold fan's loving paean to his hero Jordan Henderson. Presented to you in all its unadulterated acrostic glory:

Through his masterfully poetic economy of language, in a mere nine words he elegantly captures the essence of this great midfielder. Heroic! Engine! Explorer! Huh? Wait, Sealing? Neighborly??

Truly wondrous. Though we cannot hope to reach these dizzying lyrical heights, we of Cartilage Free Captain have dared to put pen to page in a humble attempt to capture the spirit of some of Tottenham's finest (and a few other players besides).
