The worst-kept secret in Tottenham Hotspur transfer history was finally officially OFFICIALLY for-real-no-takebacks announced today. Swansea City AFC announced on their website that they have officially signed Spurs midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, and confirmed that Swansea players Michel Vorm and Ben Davies have completed moves to Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs also confirmed the signings via their Twitter account, @spursofficial:

The transfers will also see Gylfi Sigurdsson return to the Welsh club where he spent time on loan in 2012 & we wish him well for the future.

Financial details were not confirmed by either club, the deal was believed to include Davies and Vorm for Sigurdsson and around £4m.
We've written extensively on this transfer saga before, but it bears repeating: this is a great deal for both clubs. Spurs get their desired left back – a position of dire need – and an exceptional second keeper, and are able to send Sigurdsson, whose prospects for playing time were not secure at Spurs, to a place where he can probably walk right into the starting lineup.
Welcome Ben Davies and Michel Vorm to Tottenham Hotspur! Godspeed, Gylfi! WE SIGNED SOMEONE, YOU GUYS. GIF PARTY!!
