Happy Friday, Spursland! And thank god we are here. The summer is over. Sure, it's probably blisteringly hot where you are (or cold I know it's winter for the Aussies, but I'll be honest -- I have no idea what that means down there). But let us rejoice for the game we love is back and no longer draped in the cloak of nationalism, jingoism, and ethnocentrism. We are Tottenham, and we are Groot.

Poch Not Worried About Spurs Sackings- Telegraph

This ain't true. Everyone has this feeling when they take a new job, the "oh crap, what if I mess up so badly the first day that I get fired and then I am out on my ass, back living in mom's house or worse, moving in with your girlfriend and all those cats."

Manager Falls Down, The World Giggles- SB Nation Soccer

Nothing you can do there, but stay down and make sure everyone sees you are also laughing at yourself. Trust me, I know, I've done this enough to refer to this as my go-to in this situation.

Tony Pulis Leaves Crystal Palace, Because They Don't Like Trying or Something- SB Nation Soccer

Thanks for saving our season, but we won't give you any tools to compete this year. Tony deserves a better job.

Suarez Ban Upheld- Barca Blaugranes

I am almost surprised FIFA didn't knock it down, because in a world were it is obvious that humanity is people with upright walking examples of utter shit, FIFA are the leaders in the clubhouse of the sporting division.
