Tottenham Hotspur welcomes Harry Redknapp back to White Hart Lane

Jamie McDonald

Tottenham Hotspur are back in action with yet another London derby to open the season. Today sees Spurs host QPR at White Hart Lane. Former manager Harry Redknapp returns, where he will presumably be greeted by a chorus of boos, cheers, and puzzled looks from a fanbase who is still not quite sure how to feel about the Jowled One since his departure. Either way, Spurs will be hoping to pick up all three points and join Chelsea and Swansea at the top of the table.

Vertonghen and Chadli are the only changes from the lineup that beat West Ham last week, with the Belgian replacing Kyle Naughton (and shuffling new boy/Spurs legend Eric Dier out to right back), and the Belgian coming in for Aaron Lennon. Meanwhile Paulinho, Michael Dawson, Andros Townsend and Sandro don't even make the bench. Some or all of these guys are probably getting sold. Our squad is huge.

For QPR, ol' Harry completely misunderstands the point of a back three, packing it full of slow and terrible defenders like Rio Ferdinand, Richard Dunne, and Steven Caulker. Hopefully our front line can exploit this sad lumbering back line. Elsewhere on the pitch, new boys Mauricio Isla and Leroy Fer make their debuts, while Joey Barton will look to injure as many of our players as possible before getting an inevitable red card.

Kickoff is at 8:30 ET. As always, play nice in the comments and please don't share links to illegal streams. COYS!
