FA Cup Replay team news: Pochettino expected to rotate, rest Harry Kane

The official line on injuries is the same as the Palace match, but don't be surprised if a few more key players are rested.

Team news is out ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup third round replay match against Burnley, and the official line doesn't exactly tell us much. Tottenham's official release about the match indicates that, once again, Ryan Mason and Erik Lamela will remain sidelined due to injury, while Nabil Bentaleb continues to get abused by his Algeria teammates while at AFCON. DeAndre Yedlin is reportedly ineligible for this match.

Unofficially, several outlets are suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino is expected to field a rotated side and rest a few keys players when Burnley comes to White Hart Lane. January is a ridiculously busy month with FA Cup and Carling Cup matches, a two-legged Europa League tie with Fiorentina, and league fixtures. There are so many matches this month that Pochettino will likely need to make some difficult decisions to keep his team fresh and healthy. Harry Kane is not expected to start against Burnley, and we could see other players like Paulinho, Townsend, Eric Dier, and even (gasp) Aaron Lennon make appearances.

The match takes place at White Hart Lane at 8:00 p.m. GMT (3 p.m. EST) on Wednesday. Because England is terrible at sports broadcasting, the game is once again not televised anywhere.
