Harry Kane is without question Tottenham Hotspur's best striker, and it looks like he could be set to reap the financial benefits of being his club's first choice. ESPN is reporting that the club is looking to sign Kane to a new, improved contract.

Kane just signed a new five year deal with Spurs this summer after his promising performances under Tim Sherwood at the end of last season, but that was before his explosive emergence under Mauricio Pochettino this year. Kane has emerged as potentially one of the best on-form strikers in England this season, and the club obviously wants to keep him around.

Details about his current weekly wages are scarce, but suffice it to say that it's unlikely that he's currently making anywhere near what the top wage earners at Tottenham are making. According to the ESPN article, Spurs want to change that.

With 17 goals in all competitions, Kane is now one of Tottenham's best assets. Getting him on an improved contract that will keep him happy and ensure his long-term commitment to the club will benefit everyone. At this rate, the Hurrikane is worth every pound.
