Tottenham youngster Kenneth McEvoy set for Colchester United loan

Beloved Gareth Bale look alike and Repulic of Ireland U-21 international Kenneth McEvoy was recalled from his loan to Peterborough United earlier in the year. His stint on London Road ended with seven appearances and one goal. That goal was against MK Dons so you know he is a proper lad.

This proper lad's stay at home will be short lived, however, as he is going back out on loan to Colchester. According to the BBC, McEvoy is already training with the League One club, only waiting for the paperwork to be completed to make it official.

Colchester are currently sitting 21st in the league table, poised for a relegation scrap. Hopefully, this move is one of necessity for the Essex based side, and the young winger can find himself playing meaningful minutes. Loan deals to the Football League are notoriously hit and miss, but McEvoy is at the stage where he needs minutes in a senior league, and it would be great for Tottenham Hotspur to see him progress.
