Happy Thursday, Spursland; it's match day 3 of the Europa League group stages which means we are precisely 11% of the way through this Homeric competition. But fear not, for we have an intriguing match against Anderlecht!
Honestly, of all the away trips Spurs have done over the years, this one seems enticing. Belgium always seemed an uninteresting place when I was a kid: Not a super power, small colonial imprint compared to Britain and France, and I never really figured out what's going on with the languages there. All that said, they seem to do a lot of things well, and it intrigues me.
I basically have a crush on Belgium. There I said it. Anyway, hope the boys smash them tonight.
And now for the "news":
I'm fine with this. Humans need rest or they breakdown and become ineffective. See this Hoddle as a prime example. Pure trash. Skipjack should've gotten the nod.
The headline said he issued a rallying cry. I was all like "that doesn't sound like Erik", and I was right! His rallying cry was literally an adorable tweet. If that was a rallying cry, you should hear my youngest nephew's manifesto on cake.
I can't wait until the rumor mill kicks up again in about ten days and actual Spurs fans start advocating for this. It's going to be a blast!
If I had to hang out with Chris Berman, I'd have gas, too.
