Happy Wednesday, Spursland!
Many of you know this, but some of you may not: I love Dele Alli. I've loved him ever since last April when I did a little research and found a ridiculously confident young man with a big game to back it up.
Last night was his coming out party on the international stage so I dedicate this Hoddle to him. The pitter to my patter, the eggs in my batter, and the rungs to my ladder. Dele Alli.
And now for the "news":
Dele Alli calls it "the perfect night"| FA Official site
The perfect night for the perfect player. Did I mention he is perfect? Do you all want me to link to the article I wrote in April about him again?
Roy Hodgson praises "faultless" Alli| FA Official site
I think you meant "perfect", Roy. Per-fect. Just repeat after me. Per-fect.
Wayne Rooney thinks Dele Alli should continue to start because he is perfect| Daily Mail
I don't care if he never said it. He thought it, and he's correct.
England player ratings| Sky Sports
Terry Butcher is blind.
Hugo hails solidarity in Wembley| London Evening Standard
The crowd, English and French, took their cues from Dele last night and were perfect.
