Happy Monday, Spursland!
While a draw may not be what we were looking for as a club, it certainly goes to show the level of respect we are demanding. This was basically the same match setup as the League Cup, but instead of conceding a cheap set piece and giving up good chances, we conceded even less real chances than the Boring Ones, also known as Chelsea Football Club.
If any of us were wondering if we are actually good, yesterday's tactics from Chelsea, the defending champion in desperate need of picking up points, should be a defining moment. We're good, and we have to get used to it.
It's a brave new world.
And now for the "news":
Tottenham Hotspur to give Harry Kane a raise to spite Manchester United and Chelsea| Express
Or, you know, to reward a good footballer who is pivotal to the team, but it's a page click world at the window, page click headlines for every boy and girl.
He's fast, he plays in France, and we want him| Metro
Henri Saivet can run like the wind which is why our opponent yesterday don't want him. Against their ethos. Also, at least he spells his name in an acceptable manner.
Christian Eriksen sends a message to everyone| The Sport Review
It's adorable. Can I have him, ma? Can I??
Is Harry going to Tyneside| Sports Mole
Not our current Harry, our old Harry who is old enough to almost be Auld Harry. All due respect, Harry.
Game of Keg Toss| SB Nation Lookit
At least he's only smashing records here.
