Son, who transferred to White Hart Lane from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen for 21.9 million pounds, has been a perfect fit since joining the North London side. Ever frenetic, Son has impressed with his almost inhuman work-rate, clever runs, and quick-play combinations.
Though injury took away his impressive early season form, Son's performance against Chelsea this past Sunday garnered good reviews. He was Tottenham's most dangerous player going forward, starting and nearly finishing Tottenham's most creative chance, and his everlasting press was pivotal to keeping the Blues in check. At age 23, with a reservoir of potential untapped, the AFC should probably get used to engraving the young South Korean's name into their award.
