Happy Wednesday, Spursland! My internet is back and I've come to say that I actually missed writing this thing yesterday even if I'm constantly neurotic while putting it together. The new job I have is uniformly bad and this is a wonderful diversion everyday from thinking about that crap pile.
Speaking of diversions and crap piles, the Europa League group stages. I'm a big Europa League guy, but even I can admit the group stages suck, but this week it is at least keeping me from fixating on the derby this Sunday. With Anderlecht tomorrow we have a great chance to avenge two losses and put the Premier League and Europe on notice.
And now for the "news":
Daniel Levy is just mad that he hasn't spread the Tottenham brand to Central America, right? We don't really want to sign him, right???
Shilow Tracey is indeed a player for Ebbsfleet United, not a character from a tween drama. Which just gave me an idea: player ratings to the theme of angsty teen dramas.
I haven't been keeping up with his year, but he has been a player steadily making a name for himself out of our academy. Would be nice for him to string a few nice games together, but that can be tough at the low end of the Championship.
If Remi Garde pulls that off, they need to make a "things Remi Garde can save" day on Twitter a la "things Tim Howard can stop" after the Belgium-USA game.
When I think that I write on the same network as Andi Thomas, I get uneasy. I mean, how can they let a hack like that hang around for so long?
Based on the way I was raised, none of you are special. The world turned without you and it will continue to do so regardless of your dog owning presences. Act accordingly.
