Happy Tuesday, Spursland!
There isn't much to complain about with Spurs these days (not that I'm assuming this run is permanent) so I don't feel inclined to make the thematic content about the current squad. Instead I'd like to hear your thoughts on your most favorite "terrible" win. A terrible win counts as the team playing poorly or in an ugly fashion, yet still winning.
My favorite terrible win comes from a few years back when we were losing to Wolves and for some reason had to bring on Alan Hutton. That crazy Scot won a penalty and, against all odds, scored the third goal to kill the game with Roman Pavlyuchenko securing the win in between Hutton's goals.
If you are a newer fan than this, or had repressed the match in an act of self preservation, here is how it went down that fateful September 18, 2010.
I look forward to hearing your favorite terrible wins.
And now for the "news":
Tottenham scouts watch young German| Read Bundesliga
If you'll excuse me, I'm just going to imagine the lad in question comes from a working class town, likes radios, goes by his last name exclusively, and has a girlfriend named Marie-Laure.
Andros played with the U21s, transfer intrigue abounds| Mirror
Andros could go play for Newcastle, but that actually may be a step down from our U21 side at this point.
Erik Lamela could go back to Serie A in the future| London Evening Standard
He also could go to the moon, Comicon, and Arby's. More at 11, Bob.
Grant Ward starting to make things happen on loan| Vital Football-Rotherham
I have a bit of a soft spot for this academy product as he just keeps plugging along no matter where he is loaned.
Cricket things happen| SB Nation Lookit
I'm throwing the Cricket fans a bone here. Hopefully you like the link.
