Mousa Dembele missed this Thursday's Europa League match against Monaco due to what Mauricio Pochettino called a stomach bug. Certainly we had no reason to question this, especially since we all wanted him to rest anyway, and Poche put out a super rotated side in Spurs' 4-1 win. But it looks like that's not the only problem Moose is having. News dropped today that Dembele will miss Sunday's league match against Newcastle with what was described as a "foot injury."

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH
Moose might very well have had a stomach bug and picked up this injury in training, or the sickness might have been a smokescreen. Either way, Moose is out tomorrow and it sucks.
So with our midfield destroyer out, along with Clinton who also apparently has a knee issue that hopefully isn't serious, it likely means that Dele Alli will move back alongside Eric Dier (who's fine, apparently, thank God), and either Son Heung-Min or Erik Lamela will slot into the #10. This isn't critical by any means, especially against a team like Newcastle, but considering Dembele's importance this season in the press and controlling the midfield, it's still a big hole.
Hopefully this isn't a serious injury and we can have our Moose back marauding in midfield by next weekend.
