Happy Monday, Spursland! I guess...
We've lost for the first time in the league since opening weekend, Eric Dier scored but looks a little tired, and I'm pretty sure nobody wants to win the league or even finish top four for that matter. None of these are directly related, but it's how I feel, just let me vent.
Seeing as I haven't had to deal with a weekend loss in a while, I needed to strategize my way through. To help me cope with the pain of losing to the Geordies in heartbreaking fashion after bossing them in the first half (for two years running) I'm compiling a playlist. Let me know what else I should add.
Lost that loving feeling-Righteous Brothers
Ok this isn't a song deal with it--Lost
And now for the "news":
Pochettino "not concerned" by defeat to Newcastle| London Evening Standard
What does he mean he isn't concerned? Can't he see that things have gone to poo in one week and that's it's all been lost?? What is wrong with him??? Why can't I stop asking questions???? Oh god, even that's a question!
David Moyes guesses Europa League was to blame for Spurs collapse| Sky Sports
Tim Sherwood couldn't be reached for comment, but 2/1 odds he thinks it's a lack of gut, bottle, and steel nerve.
McLaren: players were angry at being crap and that led us to victory| Mirror
So the players being mad at a crap display that saw them luckily only down one goal at half was what kicked them on? Ok.
Roma and Napoli dance that age old, scoreless dance| Chiesa di Totti
There's the Serie A I'm comfortable with.
Reactions to a knockout| SB Nation Lookit
I have no idea what the knockout looked like and don't care, not much for MMA, but this is interesting on a purely human level.
