Roberto Soldado was sold to Villarreal this offseason, but he's still a beloved figure in the hearts of many Tottenham Hotspur supporters despite being one of the biggest Spurs transfer flops of all time. The feeling is apparently mutual. Today, Bobby Soldier took to Twitter to congratulate his former teammate Harry Kane on scoring in his 100th appearance for the club.
@HKane Congrats for you 100 game in @SpursOfficial I wish you all the best playing with that shirt pic.twitter.com/tOJFkQJPof

Kane's goal was his 47th in 100 matches at Spurs, which is a pretty darned good record. Roberto Soldado's goal scoring record? Seven goals in 52. It's odd that Soldado can be both a colossal failure and a club legend, but there we are. And nobody cares about this dichotomy when he keeps doing this kind of stuff. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, but I miss him so much.
When he retires, let's bring him back for a testimonial. Is it getting misty in here?
