Happy Monday, Spursland!
This isn't just any old Monday, though. It is a Monday two days after a glorious victory against Norwich City and, wait for it, also match day!
Holiday fixture season bless us, everyone.
That doesn't mean we still don't want to get our off topic or rumor talk on, however, so here is the last Monday Hoddle of 2015. I was going to link the Mamas and Papas "Monday, Monday", but this song showed on the sidebar of YouTube and I like it better. Plus maybe our boy will play today!
And now for the "news":
Mauricio hopes to keep giving fans something to shout about| The Guardian
"Supporters were brilliant because we started to translate energy from them." I want to make a snarky joke about Poche not understanding the science of energy transference, but I myself don't understand energy transference. Or if there is such a thing as energy transference. So there's that.
Tottenham's gain is in a way Watford's loss| The Telegraph
In an alternate universe, Harry Kane plays for Watford, Heurelho Gomes still plays for Spurs, and Bryan A. is experiencing joy unknown.
Capoue claims he was "at zero" after Spurs| The Telegraph
I don't know. He was dropped by at least two managers despite being obviously one of our most talented players. His comments on working hard don't ring true for me. Live and let live, though. Glad he's got his career back.
Poche: We ain't selling Harry| Sky Sports
This would be much funnier if he directly addressed Ed Woodward with this line.
Ed Balls has his dreams come true| SB Nation Lookit
And by having his dreams come true we get more Ed Balls jokes. This is a classic win-win situation.
