Well, he certainly can't keep him out NOW. Three days after Harry Kane's audacious and emotional international debut, England manager announced that Harry Kane will start up top in England's upcoming friendly against Italy.

It took Kane less than 80 seconds to score in his first senior cap for England, continuing the fairy-tale that has been his season for club and country. Hodgson plans to run Kane out alongside captain Wayne Rooney in the friendly, which will take place in Turin on Tuesday evening.

"Harry Kane will make his full debut, playing from the start and Wayne Rooney will captain the team," Hodgson said. "I think it's nice to see the two of them on the field together. They've played a lot in training and the other night they could have but they didn't because Harry took Wayne's place. So I am pleased to see them playing together in this game and Harry certainly deserves his chance."

Kane's recent play has certainly won him a lot of admirers, both domestically and abroad. Italy starting keeper Gianluigi Buffon even stated that he's studied his play in preparation for Tuesday's match.

Full congratulations to Harry on his (impending) first England start! Now please don't get injured.
