Fresh off his first team debut for Tottenham Hotspur, young American right back DeAndre Yedlin has been called up to represent his country again. Yedlin was named in Jurgen Klinsmann's 22-man US Men's National Team squad set to face bitter international rivals Mexico in a friendly on Wednesday.
Klinsmann's squad is comprised of mostly players that play in North American leagues, which makes Yedlin's inclusion notable. USA star midfielder Michael Bradley has also been called up to the squad but former Spur Clint Dempsey will not feature.
The match against Mexico will take place Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. It is scheduled to be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 and Univision (with Spanish commentary) in the United States.
This will be Yedlin's 15th cap for USA and comes on the heels of his substitute appearance during USA's 1-1 draw with Switzerland in Basel at the end of March.
