Bounce back. Tottenham Hotspur were coming off a disheartening home loss to former manager Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa side as they traveled up to Newcastle on Sunday. But Spurs were able to change their form, earning a 3-1 road win as Harry Kane scored yet again. The win boosted Spurs up to 6th place, but they face another tough road challenge at the team sitting just one spot behind them on the table.

Southampton hosts Spurs sitting in that 7th place, just one point behind Spurs. The Saints have been led by their defense, which ranks as best in the league. Graziano Pelle has ranked as Southampton's leading scorer, while the trio of Sadio Mane, Dusan Tadic, and James Ward-Prowse have been some of his main support from midfield. Manager Robert Koeman will look to take his Southampton side above Spurs on the back of strong home form. Will the gaffer get his wish?

As for the Prediction League, Ben and Michael remain fighting for the top after picking Spurs' win over Newcastle. The rules remain the same in the Prediction League -- one point for a correct prediction and a bonus point for getting the score correct. Here are the current standings:

Name
Score
Ben Daniels 25
Michael Caley 24
Dominic Wood 21
Kevin 18
Brett Rainbow 17
Mechanick 15
Salmon Chase 14
Bryan A. 13
Dustin Gerber Martin 13
Skipjack 10

This week's predictions:

Dustin Gerber Martin: This is a #narrative match. We are not good at #narrative matches. Plus, Soton like to press and are good, unlike Newcastle. 2-1 Southampton

Kevin: Southampton sucks, 3-0 Spurs

Mechanick: Kane sneaks a goal, we sneak a win. 1-0 Spurs

Bryan A.: 7-1 Soton. I don't care. Spurs don't care. Pochettino doesn't care. Fuck everything.

Salmon Chase: Just to prove that I'm right and everyone else is wrong wrong wrong about which players should start and which are crap, Lamela is going to nutmeg Ryan Mason before firing home the game winner as Kane and Poche look on knowingly. 3-2 Spurs

Ben Daniels: 3-1 Spurs. Ryan Mason runs circles around Morgan Schneiderlin. Its super effective.

Dominic Wood: 2-1 Spurs. When are they finally gonna have Harry Kane bobble head night?

Michael Caley: 2-1 Southampton. Are we a good team? No. Are they? Yes.

Skipjack: 1-1 Draw, cause sure why not

Brett Rainbow: Paulinho shuts up the haters with a hat trick. 3-0 Spurs
