As first revealed in an unintended leak from the UK PlayStation store, Spurs striker Harry Kane's been named to EA Sports' FIFA 15's Barclay Premier League Team of the Season. This is the fourth overall (and second week of) Team of the Season released in the football video game's most popular game play mode and represents Kane's statistically strongest card of the entire game.
Though there'd been hope that Christian Eriksen would receive the honor as well, Kane represents Tottenham's lone entry on the 18 man side. The usual suspects including PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard and teammates Diego Costa, Nemanja Matic, first half hero Cesc Fabregas, captain John Terry, and Cesar Azpilicueta represent the league champs.
Matic, Southampton fullbacks Nathaniel Clyne and Ryan Bertrand, and Liverpool's Jordan Henderson are repeat releases of the coveted "blue cards". All four were all featured in the FIFA community's "Most Consistent" (but never Team of the Week) teams that were released a week ago.
It's crazy to think that Kane started the 2015 FIFA cycle as a 68 rated non-rare silver card only to finish it as an 86 rated Team of the Season player.
