Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Austria and FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer for quite some time now and it appears that the move is getting every closer to completion. Bild, which is about as reliable of a source as we're going to get on these sorts of things, has run an article featuring a photo of Wimmer at an airport holding a guide to the city of London. Obviously, this is a clear sign the Wimmer is coming to Spurs.
I mock, but the article actually seems like a pretty detailed accounting of Wimmers transition from Germany to London. He left his home in Cologne yesterday morning, accompanied by his mother (let's hope she's nothing like Adrien Rabiot's mom) to come to London for a medical. While in London, Bild says that Wimmer will also be looking for a home. He'll then be off to Moscow on June 14 for an international match with his Austrian teammates before returning to London to start pre-season with Tottenham Hotspur. The article even features quotes from Wimmer.
"Toll, dass sie am letzten Spieltag noch die Qualifikation zur Europa League geschafft haben. Das ist eine Riesen-Herausforderung", sagt Wimmer und will gleich voll angreifen. "Da bleibt höchstens Zeit für einen kurzen Heimat-Urlaub."
In that quote Wimmer says how great it is that Spurs managed to qualify for the Europa League and that it will represent a huge challenge. So, while neither FC Koln or Spurs have confirmed this move, it's pretty clear from the player himself that he is moving to Tottenham Hotspur.
