Another promising Tottenham youth player is heading out of the club to get some first team experience. 20-year old winger Grant Ward is heading on a half season loan to Rotherham United in the English Championship.

Ward had a nice stint in MLS last season with Chicago Fire, and then went on loan to Coventry City in League One last season where he impressed while making 11 appearances for the Sky Blues. Ward also featured in Spurs' post-season tour to Malaysia and Australia. A tidy, competent attacking midfielder, we ranked Ward at #12 in our Tottenham Hotspur Prospect Rankings this summer.
Rotherham is a club that could use a little help. They finished 21st in the Championship last season, only staying up after the next to last match of the season. Ward is ready for the step up to the Championship and Rotherham could use him. It's probably a good fit, and a chance to see how Ward will do the next step up the football pyramid.
