Howdy, Spurs fans. It's not a Tottenham friendly, but it will feature a Tottenham player. DeAndre Yedlin and the USA Men's National team will take on Jamaica in the semifinals of the 2015 Gold Cup. Win this one and they're in the final, hopefully against Mexico, whom they'll also hopefully defeat dos a cero.
Yedlin's been on the bench more often than not for USA lately, but that's because they really haven't needed him, after crushing Cuba 6-0 in their last match. Jamaica has had a good tournament, are playing good football, and should put up a heck of a lot more of a fight than the Cubans.
For the Reggae Boyz, you may recognize Tottenham academy product and former player Simon Dawkins, who now plays his club ball with Derby County. Also, Crystal Palace's Adrian Mariappa and Leicester City's Wes Morgan are on the Jamaican side. You might also recognize Jobi McAnuff, who was a fixture at Reading for many years and is now with Leyton Orient.
This here is your open thread for the match.
