One of Spurs' promising youth players could be set for a loan to the English second tier. According to the Coventry Telegraph, winger Grant Ward was spotted training at Championship club Rotherham United FC yesterday. His presence was apparently indirectly confirmed by Ward himself on his personal Instagram feed (after he posted a picture of him running in Tottenham training gear).

Ward is a very versatile midfielder and impressed in recent loans to Chicago Fire and Coventry City last season. He came in at #12 on our list of Tottenham Hotspur youth prospects and could have a bright future at the club.

Rotherham was promoted to the Championship after the 2013-14 season and very narrowly escaped relegation last season, finishing in 21st, one spot ahead of the drop. The Millers will be looking for reinforcement for next season, and after a successful stint in League One, Ward appears ready to take the next step up in the competition. It would hopefully mean lots of games for Ward at a higher level, which is what he needs.
