Manchester United will not be bidding for Hugo Lloris

This all but assures us that Hugo will be with us for the coming season.

The David De Gea saga in Manchester United looks to be coming to its end, and it means good news for Tottenham Hotspur as the deal will mean the Red Devils are going to get more than just cash in return.

Multiple sources, but primarily the Manchester Evening News and The Guardian (tweet below), are stating that a deal is in place that will send David De Gea to Real Madrid. Under normal circumstances, Spurs supporters would be in "brace for impact" mode as we would all be expecting a full-on assault from United for Hugo Lloris. Not so fast, though, as this will put those fears to rest:

Looks like there was a bit of a hang up in that Manchester United isn't ready to roll with just Sergio Romero between the pipes. Navas would definitely become expendable, but it looks as though United only want him as a stopgap for this year.

So, if this all bodes true, and there's no reason to believe that it isn't given the sources, it would appear that David de Gea is getting his move to Real Madrid, Manchester United get a dump truck full of money and a new keeper for the season on loan, and we get to keep our awesome captain for at least one more season.

Some people have been pointing at a story in a few of our favorite Bat Country places such as the Daily Star, stating that Didier Deschamps is letting Hugo leave to do a medical. These have been loaded headlines as Deschamps' exact quote was referring to Anthony Martial leaving and then stating that "If Hugo needs to leave for a medical, he is allowed to do so." So, in other words, clickbait. Not a surprise.

If you were still nervous about this, it's time to breathe a little easier.
