Spurs linked to Chelsea winger in last minute swoop

This rumor will not die.

What's old is new again! The glory of deadline day knows no end.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked again with Chelsea attacker Victor Moses. This rumor first appeared about two months ago as Moses balked at the idea of settling on a permanent transfer to Stoke City with whom he completed a successful loan spell last year. He has not completed a move as of yet, however, and time is running out.

According to the Express, the out of favor winger looked set to join up with West Ham, but Spurs have considered making an offer at the last minute. In true transfer deadline madness, none of this is sourced so I would assume that they are just running this off the assumption that the old rumors were based on a shred of truth.

I love rumors like this at the end of the window because it makes absolutely no sense, but I cannot help but read it anyway! Spurs need for a wide attacker, or an attacker that isn't a striker, does not exist. Since this rumor appeared what feels like ages ago, we have signed Clinton N'jie and Son Heung-Min, two wide attackers that actually address problems we've had in the attack. We should not sign Victor Moses, and if we do, it's because Levy simply got nostalgic for an old fashioned gazumping.

As much as messing with West Ham seems fun, this is not happening.
