Newcastle won't let in demand attacker go to Spurs

A new strike target popped up for Tottenham Hotpsur yesterday evening in the form of Ayoze Perez. Now, Newcastle sources are rubbishing the suggestion that the would let the Spaniard go at any price, let alone the rumored £15 million. The Tyneside club will not be selling Perez to Spurs, or any other club.

Perez joined Newcastle last season for just over £1.5 from Tenerife. The Magpies beat out competition from some of Europe's biggest club's for the strikers signature and after some good performances last season, bigger clubs appear to be knocking on the door for Perez again. The problem for Newcastle is that they probably need Perez, especially with new signing Alexander Mitrovic looking like a booking machine and Pappis Cisse continuing to be Pappiss Cisse.

Spurs could have used Perez both as a striker or as a wide attacker, but the price tag and Newcastle's express disinterest in this deal make anything unlikely at this stage.
