The transfer window is finally closed in England, and it has closed without Aaron Lennon making his long rumored move to Everton. However, the Guardian is reporting that the two clubs have an additional two hours to complete the permanent transfer of Lennon to Merseyside following submitting the paperwork to the Premier League.
Aaron Lennon's permanent move to #EFC also has until 8pm to go through. Paperwork submitted and accepted by PL.

Much of Tottenham's attention seemed to be focused on Saido Berahino on deadline day, but apparently both Spurs and the Toffees were working diligently behind the scenes to complete the transfer of Lennon, who went on loan to the blue side of Liverpool last year. Lennon's return would add a much needed injection of pace to Everton's already dangerous counterattack.
The clubs now have until 8PM GMT or 3PM ET to complete the transfer.
