The Hoddle of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur news and links for Friday, September 18

We won! That's great!

Happy Friday, Tottenham fans! Wasn't it nice to win a game? While I was stuck at the day job and could only really half-watch, sneaking a glance at my iPad in between phone calls and finishing up projects, I did see the highlights and watched the first half of the match last night.

Qarabag isn't a great side, but they're also not terrible either. And while I don't think they're going to necessarily get out of the Europa League group stage, I think they might have the ability to nick a point or two off of someone when playing at home. I know I'm not especially looking forward to Spurs visiting THE LAND OF FIRE anytime soon.

And now, the "news":

Harry Kane not worried about squad strength | Evening Standard

That's nice that he said so, but I am at the moment. Especially at central midfield where it appears we're down to playing Harry Winks and that cute mascot who comes out holding Kane's hand before matches.

Eric Dier #8 in Sky Sports' "Power Rankings" | Sky Sports

It appears that Sky has been watching Fox Sports' NFL coverage lately and has picked up a few tips and tricks. Eric Dier being up this high most assuredly means something, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is.
