Tottenham Hotspur had been outscored by a total of 16 goals to 2 in their last four meeting with Manchester City. That score line is now a little closer after Spurs laid a 4-1 shellacking on the Citizens. In fairness, the referees had a horrible day. Neither City's nor Spurs' opener should have counted, as both should have been flagged for offside. There were also a few questions of offside on Spurs' third.
That's all the magnanimity I'm willing to offer though. Spurs were rampant in much of the second half and defended well in the first. This team looks more and more cohesive by the week and we're starting to look very dangerous.
Anyway, you should probably know how this works by now, but just as a refresher, here's the scale once again:
- 10: World Class or Amazing
- 9: Very good
- 8: Good
- 7: Above Average
- 6: Average
- 5: Below Average
- 4: Bad
- 3: Very bad
- 2: Abysmal
- 1: I don't know what this would look like. A six year-old playing against adults?
Now that all the technicalities are out of the way, it's time to do the actual rating. Ready? Go!
