When will we see you again Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, Spursland!

I have spent much of this transfer window linking stories about how Andros Townsend would eventually be sold, and, well, it's finally happened. Say what we will about the guy, but he was at the club for a long time and was at the head of the queue of academy players that would actually make some headway at the senior level.

Unfortunately, he more or less found his level, and it wasn't our new one, and on he moves. I'll remember him well enough, though. Take away the bust up with the trainer and we have a guy who always put in a shift. We know what he is and what he isn't at this point, no need to rehash all that, but what shouldn't be forgotten was that he genuinely seemed to try to get better. That matters.

So good trip north, Andros. May it treat you well.

And now for the other "news":

Saido Berahino will be the subject of one last bid from Spurs| Mirror

Apparently, Juve rebuffed our advances for Alvaro Morata so the Jeremy Peace antagonization derby is back on. I hope they enjoy getting that 25% reduced bid up there in the Midlands.

Pat Nevin says 'Tottenham will be happiest in the title race'| The Sport Review

The team? Sure. The supporters, well, I don't think Pat hangs around Twitter much.

Chelsea are tracking Mauricio as a possible Hiddink successor| Express

I swallowed the vomit, but my rage is not so easily stifled. Not happy even thinking about it. Not happy at all.

The same Chelsea who thought Dele Alli wasn't as good as Loftus-Cheek| Express

A team that has no development plan for youth outside of loaning them to Vitesse and upping their transfer value seems right up Poche's alley, dunnit?

I've been waiting for this to happen. Why isn't it happening already? Please happen.
