The September Premier League monthly awards haven’t been awarded yet, but that’s not stopping Tottenham from awarding some of their own. Sonny picked up the UnderArmor UK September Goal of the Month award for his second goal against Middlesbrough. The award was voted on by Spurs supporters at Tottenham’s official website.

If you forgot what Son’s winning goal was, here’s a reminder for you. Hint: it’s a beauty.

A deserving strike from a deserving striker, but it gets better! Because not only did Sonny win the award for that goal against Boro, he also came in second with this strike, his second goal against Stoke City earlier in September.

So, two goals, finishing 1-2 in the voting. That means he wins twice, right? Or maybe he just EXTRA wins. Because Sonny’s a winner and scores goals for fun.

Christian Eriksen came in close behind in third with this cracker of a shot against Gillingham:

Sonny’s still in the running for EA Sports Player of the Month for September as well, which should be released tomorrow, and if online voting is any indication, the award could be between him and Liverpool’s Adam Lallana. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is also a finalist for the September EA Sports Manager of the Month award.
