Son Heung-Min just can’t stop scoring. Now on international duty with his native South Korea, the Tottenham Hotspur striker continued his hot streak of scoring form today by scoring the winning goal in Korea’s 3-2 home win over Qatar. Check out the highlight!
The quality of the footage isn’t great – it looks like it was ripped from an illegal stream – but you can see what a great diagonal run Sonny makes into the box. We’re pretty sure the pass comes from Swansea midfielder and Korean captain Ki Sung-Yueng, and that’s a really nice ball too.
This was an Asian Football Confederation qualification match for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. With the win, Korea are now first place in their qualifying group after three games, ahead of football powerhouse Uzbekistan by a point.
With Harry Kane out for an unknown period of time, Son has become the focus of Tottenham’s attack in recent games. A hot Sonny is a happy Sonny, and after a year of turmoil he appears to be enjoying his football.
Son and Korea’s next match is an other WCQ on October 11 against Iran.
