Tottenham Hotspur are no longer unbeaten in the Premier League. Everything is awful. Spurs were without a number of key players, including Danny Rose (suspended) and Toby Alderweireld (still injured), but still managed to put together a largely dominant performance in the first half. That Chelsea grabbed a goal at the end of the half through some nice individual skill by Pedro seemed to be only a tiny blip.
It was, however, not a blip. Chelsea flipped the script in the second half and ran the game, grabbing the winning goal just six minutes into the half. Still, Spurs didn’t look completely overwhelmed and late substitutes Harry Winks and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou acquitted themselves well in their limited action.
The unbeaten run is over. Time to start a new one.
