The divide between American and British sporting cultures is a lot more wide than you may think. While we all here love soccer/football, there are undoubtedly some sports on either side of the pond that we just don’t quite grasp.
For me, Darts has to be one of them. While it’s an acceptable pub game here in the U.S., it’s a highly intense professional sport in the U.K. Nevertheless, here we are with two Spurs teammates battling out in a friendly match.

6 darts each, highest scoring team wins… pic.twitter.com/GGMKiwSW1X
Michel Vorm and Danny rose paired up to take on the dynamic defensive duo of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld. The goal was for each team to get the highest score with six total throws a piece (Is that even how competitive darts works? Let me know in the comments).
Try as the might, Michel and Danny just couldn’t compete with the natural chemistry that Jan and Toby possess from their time as center back bros.
Lesson #1: Don’t bother trying to beat the two Belgians at anything. It’s not happening.
